Danny Ward looks to be Liverpool Number one

Liverpool’s most in-form goalkeeper, doesn't even play for them!

Speaking to The Daily Mail the Welshman said ‘It is definitely an ambition of mine to be Liverpool's first-choice. I have a self-belief where I think I can play at the highest level. Ideally that's at Liverpool, that would be fantastic’

Twenty two year old Danny ward currently on loan at Scottish side Aberdeen has kept 13 clean sheets in 27 appearances this season as Aberdeen lay claim to the second best defensive league record.

Aberdeen are currently second in the Scottish premier league and a win on Wednesday night could send The Dons to top spot above giants Celtic. The Dandies finished runners up last season but are still craving the Scottish title not achieved since 1985.

The on - loan liverpool keeper is yet to play a competitive game for the Merseyside club after loan spells at Morecambe and now Aberdeen. Although he is almost certain to represent  Chris Coleman’s Wales at Euro 2016,

Liverpool’s current number one Simon Mignolet has notched up just 6 clean sheets from a total of 17 appearances conceding on average 1.12 goals per game.

Adam Bogdan, Liverpool’s back up shot stopper fairs no better despite playing just a single game this season in which he conceded 3 goals in a December defeat to Watford.

Liverpool have had a major issue with their defensive quarters over recent seasons, under Brendan Rodgers the reds conceded 218 times in just 192 matches, with the former reds boss spending over £80 million on defensive recruits.

With Liverpool now under Jurgen Klopp’s control the German will be looking to steady the ship and after dropping Mignolet for Bogdan did not solve the problem, it may fall to young Danny Ward to be the man between the sticks.
